Cotton Point Estates. Cotton Point Estates is home to the most expensive Real Estate in San Clemente. The area gets it’s name from Hamilton Cotton who in 1926 built a beachfront mansion there. The estate was modeled after a country home in San Sebastian, Spain and it was designed by architect Carl Lindbom. In 1969 President Richard Nixon bought the estate from Hamilton’s window and named the the estate La Casa Pacifica (The Pacific House). Nixon used the estate as a getaway from Washington and soon the estate was nicknamed “The Western White House”.
